We were talking about alignment of the spine since we just visited our chiropractor.
I was telling C that sports causes misalignment in the spine because many sports are contact sports. C said, "I know what 'align' means." I explained misaligned is the opposite of aligned. C replied nonchalantly, "so 'mis' is another prefix that defines the word "not", then?" I told him, "that's right, nice thinking!" I was kind of stunned at his vocabulary… I don't think I knew the word 'prefix' or 'defines' at age 7.
