Dreams are made of pancakes

C woke up this morning exactly when he was supposed to (06:30am) to get ready for school. He said he had a dream about school. (Kinder) When asked about it, he replied, "We were drawing on pancakes with a vanilla crayon".

Sounds like a yummy school to me!

First Day of Kindergarten

C looks nonchalant about his first day of Kinder here, but he was actually very excited to go. He LOVES school and enjoys being with his classmates and talking to his Teacher. He tells her stories whenever he has the opportunity.

Mammoth Trip 2009

This year C went to Mammoth with Daddy. Mommy couldn't go because of last minute Freelance work from Disney. Boy, this scenery makes me wish I went!

Oh boy...

He's always thinking, the other day he asked, Mommy how are dogs and cats born? I told him,"From a special place." He asked, "What special place?" He also asked how puppies are made. I told him, "Doggies have to get married to have puppies." He asked, "How do Doggies get married?"

Oh boy... I changed the subject and escaped that one!

He's a deep thinker... a few days later, he's asked the big question:"Mommy, if I came out of your tummy, why don't you have a BIG hole in your tummy?" It was a serious question for him. He was puzzled. I thought about what to answer him as I wasn't quite prepared to talk about the Birds & the Bees with him just yet. So I told him, "I'll tell you when you're a little bit older" He asked, "Why?" since we always try to answer all his questions. He was a bit perturbed that I kept the answer from him but he eventually focused his thoughts on something else and went his merry way...

I was discussing this with my Mom later, and asked her if any of us (her kids) asked such questions at that age. She said no... come to think of it I didn't really think about it at all! How about you?
